eSIM-Compatible Devices
An eSIM only works on a phone that (1) has eSIM hardware and (2) is carrier-unlocked. The good news: nearly every flagship phone sold since 2018 qualifies. Here is how to be sure before you buy.
Apple iPhone & iPad
eSIM is supported on iPhone XS, XR and every model since -- that is iPhone XS/XR, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 families including all Pro and Max variants, plus iPhone SE (2nd generation and later). US iPhone 14 models and newer are eSIM-only.
iPads with cellular also support eSIM: iPad Pro, iPad Air (3rd generation and later), iPad (7th generation and later) and iPad mini (5th generation and later).
Samsung Galaxy
Supported on the Galaxy S20, S21, S22, S23, S24 and S25 series (note: a handful of early-S20 regional variants shipped without eSIM), the Note 20 series, and every Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip generation. Most recent A-series mid-range models with eSIM are supported too.
Google Pixel & others
Google Pixel 3 and every Pixel since support eSIM (with minor exceptions on some Pixel 3 regional/carrier variants). Beyond that: many recent OnePlus, Xiaomi, Oppo and Motorola (including the Razr foldables) models, plus the Microsoft Surface Duo, include eSIM. Because support varies by exact model and region, always confirm your specific device.
Two quick checks before you buy
Check the hardware: on iPhone, dial *#06# -- if you see an 'EID' number, you have eSIM. On Android, look under Settings for an 'Add eSIM' / 'Download a SIM' option in the SIM or mobile-network menu.
Check it is unlocked: a phone locked to your home carrier cannot use another network's eSIM. Phones bought outright are usually unlocked; carrier-financed phones may not be until paid off. If in doubt, ask your home carrier -- or message us your exact model and we will confirm compatibility before you pay.
